Well, of course you can, however, you will need to be very patient waiting for the tree to grow and the berry to ripe before you can harvest the fruit.
Normally, Acai palms can begin to bear fruit as early as three years from germination.
When you try to grow acai palm from seed, please make sure the seed get a lot of good drainage or they will rot. Try a mix with 50% peat, 45% perlite and 5% activated charcoal. The seeding need a fast draining mix that will get enough oxygen to the root.
After planting the seed, make sure you give it enough water everyday.
The ultimate height an Acai palm will reach depends on many factors. If kept in a container, the palm will be somewhat dwarfed because of the constriction on it’s roots. Allow the original palm stalk to reach a manageable height for harvesting.
